Roles in CAMHS

Business admin lead

About the role...

Our administration teams play a vital role in ensuring the service runs smoothly, that visitors to CAMHS clinics feel welcome as soon as they arrive, and that the clinical teams have the right support and systems in place to provide the best possible care.

Business administration lead can also be a project lead, or an human resources advisor. At this stage of business administration, many people branch out into areas of specialism and the NHS encourage people to find an administration pathway that will enable people to play to their strengths and abilities.

What qualifications do I need?

Business administration leads will have acquired several years experience in previous business roles to demonstrate leadership qualities and budgetary and managerial skills. Through studying Diplomas in business administration or a Masters, further development into roles with more seniority and accountability will became available.

What experience do I need to bring?

The more senior the role, the more experience and examples of competency leading a team, holding a budget and delivering on projects is needed. There are several ways that individuals can grow with knowledge through applying for Masters or NVQ or Diplomas with the Chartered Institute of Management and the NHS offers many internal leadership development programmes too for individuals to grow and develop.
