About the role...

Business administration in CAMHS in the NHS provide business support to clinical and non clinical staff in a variety of different environments. Our Administration teams play a vital role in ensuring the service runs smoothly, that visitors to CAMHS clinics feel welcome as soon as they arrive, and that the clinical teams have the right support and systems in place to provide the best possible care. Our admin team are the backbone of the service, and play a vital role in helping us to deliver the best care. Many administration roles are required to look after the day to day running of a clinician or a small team of clinicians. This may involve typing letters, setting diary arrangements, speaking with patients, ensuring that the patient records are maintained and kept confidential and providing a positive service to both the patient and clinicians.



What qualifications do I need?

Most business administration start in these roles with a good basic understanding of IT and know how to use Word and Excel. They are also expected to be able to communicate effectively to a team and to patients and be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environments.

What experience do I need to bring?

Most Business administrations came through two routes into the NHS. Either through the apprenticeship route or through experience they have had in other businesses or through voluntary work.
