Lead nurse
About the role...
This is a senior nurse role with influence and leadership at its core. You will be contributing to a wide range of strategy and process. You are likely to lead areas of practice, with an area of special interest such as education / ADHD / trauma / Nurse Prescribing etc. You will provide line management clinical and professional supervision within the immediate structure and beyond. You will work as part of complex systems across health, social care, education, voluntary sector and advocate for children’s mental health. You will lead on transformation and innovation, with responsibility for governance, accurate reporting and analysis of data relating to children and young people and service development.
What qualifications do I need?
• Bsc Nursing Studies or equivalent
• MSc/ Ma in relevant area / Independent Nurse Prescribing, Advanced Clinical Practice, Leadership etc)
• Leadership qualification
• Teaching Qualification
• Coaching qualification
• PHD or working towards
What experience do I need to bring?
Evidence of at least 5 years in a senior nurse post, demonstrating extended clinical skills and leadership. Line management and supervision skills. You will be an expert in at least one area of children’s mental health.
You will likely have worked in more than one CAMHS setting to understand the complexities of the system and a child’s journey through pathways and interventions. You will have attended and contributed to service development, a clinical pathway, workforce development and / or participation and co production.
You will be familiar with managing people, resources and budgets. You will likely have worked across multi agency boundaries and with key stakeholders to advocate and promote children’s mental health and joint working with CAMHS.
