What is a T Level qualification?
T Level qualifications are an alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other 16 to 19 courses.
Equivalent in size to 3 A levels, a T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.
T Levels offer students practical and knowledge-based learning at a school or college and on-the-job experience through an industry placement of at least 315 hours – approximately 45 days.
What are industry placements?
Industry placements can vary in length but must last for a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days). Industry placements can be offered as a block, series of blocks, day release or a mix of these, depending on what works best for the business, the college and the student.
Industry placement make up around 20% of the course, with the student spending about 80% of their time in the classroom.
